Peacocks are all the rage!

Source:CRBS
As of late, my obsession has been peacocks. I have no idea where it came from, but it's here! My hubby says it stemmed from watching Barbie as The Island Princess too many times (only with my daughters, I swear!). Well, it has inspired me to look at what kind of "Peacock Party" I could come up with. So, here goes...

First things first...the invite from Invitesonline

There are millions (okay, maybe not that many, but they are quite popular right now) of peacock invitations but I love the simplicity of this one.

For the decorations and tableware , here's the palette I'd use...

In order...primary blue, kiwi, island blue (that is just a coincidence...hehe), and purple. I know purple's not really a peacock color, but I love when it pops in there! Plus it adds a more girly feel.

Just some examples as to what decorations could be used...

A vase filled with feathers is a must!

And just look at those place settings! Gorgeous! BTW, photo's courtesy of Hostess with the Mostess, which she really is! Just check her out!

I might use these to toss around on the table or to fill a clear vase before adding the peacock feathers. Either way it will create a little extra sparkle! And who doesn't love that?

For around the table I would love these chairs...
And to dress them up, I would add this beautiful accessory...
For your drinking pleasure, would you prefer...

A blue drink (from the Sunday Paper)...
Or a purple drink? (Can't remember where I got this pic...who wants to take credit?)
Not sure? That's okay. They're both pretty!

I love the color of these lights, and I think they'd make a great addition to the bright and bold color scheme...

For a cute and delicious favor, I'd try something like this, but wrapped up all pretty like, maybe with a feather tucked in!

Alright, now I've gotten peacocks out of my system! Hopefully one day I'll get to do something like this, or at least inspire someone else to! If you have a peacock party, I'd love to see pictures! Until next time...
